







The Procurement Technical Assistance Center of Alaska (PTAC) would like to invite you to participate in the upcoming 1st Annual Interior Regions Procurement Fair - "Alaskans Working Together." The Fair is being held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. March 22, 2010 at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge in Fairbanks, AK. An informal networking session follows the event. Discounted lodging is available through Princess Tours for those traveling to attend. (See registration form for details). Registration fees include catered lunch.
The Procurement Fair will provide the single, best opportunity in the region for government buyers to reach a large audience, and for Alaska's businesses to learn first hand about upcoming procurement opportunities. Come learn about the procurement process, what the Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Acts require, how to win GSA schedule contracts, HUBZone and 8(a) program requirements, how to use the Wide Area Workflow system (WAWF), surety bonds, and much more. Whether you're interested or already involved in government contracting, the Interior Regions Procurement Fair is the one not-to-be-missed event of the year! Representatives from SBA and GSA will also be conducting follow-up workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23rd & 24th. Pre-registration is required for these workshops, so sign up early to insure your seat is reserved. Workshops include the 8(a) Eligibility & Application, HUBZone Orientation, Doing Business with GSA, and the SBA Government Contracting Office's "Understanding Simplified Acquisitions." How to Register: There three (3) Procurement Fair registration forms attached below, one each for: Attendee, Government Agency, and Vendor. Please select the appropriate form, complete and return it with payment to PTAC by fax, email, or mail. (See contact information below). Register by Friday, March 12, and receive a discount registration fee of $25 per person. Vendor registration is $50 and includes an information display table and two (2) event admissions.
